So pulled your phone out your POCKET and started to watch several VIDEOS on your phone of something trivial. Then jumped on the INTERNET to have a discussion about with several THOUSAND strangers who share a common interest. Probably all the while taking a shite.

Absolutely.
The age of information has benefits and drawbacks. More information is available to the average person than ever before. However people are choosing to become more biased and prefer information that confirms their bias instead of learning new things.
On top of that, the birthrate among the most intelligent is dropping like a rock while still remaining high among lower IQ people.
We're breeding ourselves into a society incapable of dealing with opposing views and lacks the ability to deal with them.
