It was an expensive lesson but not one I can’t recover from. Just mad money basically.
Probably just going to cause me to be more guarded and to never really trust even the people I trust.
I couldn’t sleep at all last night. Fought with it. And I think my solution is to give it up to the universe. To let it go and learn the lesson. If it comes back to me, one way or another, then it will. Or it won’t.

There are plenty of real men left.
I met my husband when I was trying to change my tire at the mall in a thunderstorm, and he jumped to help.
When we had a rock thrown through our front window at 3 am a few weeks ago, setting off our home alarm, I got out of bed in a sweaty panic.
My son was already in the living roon with a baseball bat, awake and ready to fight whoever would intrude.
My daughter’s first date ended with a small fender bender. Her memory from the date: when the collision was inevitable, he unhooked and threw himself in front of her. She probably ended up more hurt because of it, but he didn’t know that at the time.
There are plenty of men, and they’re awesome AF. Your post was sad.
