We liked the area, just not the people. We've discussed this before though.....

Love the view from the top of the mountain. I'll never forget an old couple in front of us. They kept saying, "you're almost there! Keep going!". I feel like they told us that for MILES.

I did.

I can ride around with an ounce of OT10 flower in my passenger seat..out in the open. Not smoking when driving or anything like that..but the peace at mind of knowing I wont get arrested and everything that comes with that,..just for having it..it makes a lot of sense for it to be legal once you see the business world of it AND especially the medical side of it.

Talking with people who are sick and sincerely thank you for doing what you do. It makes you hate the law enforcement's ignorance in the south. Jaded 30+ year officers who swear it's the scourge of society, cause they bought into the war on drugs and just say no years. Posing with plants..etc.

I hope it changes there. Louisiana, Texas, Florida..should all be legal. If lousiana was smart, they would go legal recreational. So much money from texas..I'd want to open a floating dispensary on toledo bend.

Edibles and bud is a great combo.

Edibles give you that deep feeling relaxed high that lingers a long time (even sativa strains). But it doesn't get my brain as much. Plus I hate waiting on them to kick in.

Eat your edibles, hit the pipe 4 times, and enjoy.

I use the 10mg gummies. I find that depending on my goal that 10mg is usually perfect. 5mg cancut the edge for me.
Edibles are a longer smoother high in my opinion. Smoking is a quicker/shorter lasting high.
As previously said, taking too many edibles can make things hairy depending on your tolerance.

If I get up to 30mg within two hours I’ll be stoned out of my mind.

Now,I firmly believe that each person should consult with a dispenser employee to get the proper strand based on their goal with the product and their tolerance.
Indica strands are your sedation and relaxation strands. They are recommended for anxiety and low key events. I wouldn’t suggest indica for a concert. It’s great an hour before bed.
Sativa is your gitty up strand. It is your uplifting and social gathering strand. Of you have anxiety or tend to think that usage will give you anxiety then I’d suggest not going this route.
Hybrid is a mix of both and tends to be a happy medium.

Once you get these basics down then we can talk terpenes, thc/cbd dominate balances.

Cannabis may not be as simple as we’d like, but its complexity is what makes it such a remarkable plant and tool for consumers of all types.

Now this is just my personal experience. My oncologist knows how I feel and what I do. He doesn't come out and endorse it but he does not tell me to stop. He calls me " the miracle ".

It's my opinion that I would already be dead if not for cannabis. It's my belief that once I stop, I'll die soon after.

I am not saying it cures cancer. I'm too advanced for that at this point. But it does, in large doses , get me through the day. I function. I do what I can in my shape. Without the boost I get, I would not be able to do anything.

For others, small doses would solve so many issues. Or no THC, CBD will work for some things as well.

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like more people these days experience panic attack like symptoms after smoking.. never used to hear about that back in the day

How much do you pay for an ounce of the legal stuff and where are you located? Just curious as to how the price differed from the street stuff

I typically pay $250 for a zip

Probably true because the w33d today is much, much stronger than it was back in the day. I've never gotten that anxiety from smoking, but have over indulged on edibles before and it's not fun.

I would say those side effects are still fairly common unless you are a habitual smoker.

Back in the 70's it was $10/oz according to a friend.
Sure, but:

That was the top strains of '77.

As far as the weed today, my experience only goes back to the early 90's, but the biggest difference for me is I only have to smoke a half gram today to give the same effects that used to take an eighth. So a lot less time spent smoking and a lot less inhaled smoke.

It really depends on the dispensary. There are apps now that alert you to deals in your area (thedailyleaf), in portland alone, I'm surrounded by so many..each store has daily deals. Sometimes shops want to get rid of a product that hadnt sold as well as projected. Growers sell in bulk to dispensaries with high quality flower for as low as $2.50 a gram. In turn, they sometimes sell it for $10-$18 a gram.

But, the deals you can find..I've seen 24%+ thc sativa go for around $100 or less. There are ads everywhere, on this magazine I'm reading over lunch right now for example.

Now, the quality of that $40 wont be top shelf. But throw some extract on top of it for $15, and it's on. Or make bubble hash with it.

To get a better idea, this is from a shop I was at earlier making an order with some quality bud.

I don't even bother with that anymore. Just about every shop will alert you by text if you sign up. I routinely get insane deals this way. $10 quarters, $30 ounces, grams of wax for $7.

I forgot to add, some dispensaries also deliver. You go to their website, put in your order and a motherfricker brings it to your door. Think about that for a bit.

Yeah, I hate that. You can't smell anything out of those sample jars.

True but remember they were the first to legalize so they didn't have a sample set to look at. They've been slowly improving. My main issues are the sealed containers and the grow laws.
