125 bucks. They said I ran a red light. In the picture I’m clearing turning right on red. Came to a stop, entered the intersection by turning right on red. The intersection is Sherwood @ coursey. I was turning off of Sherwood onto coursey heading towards Jones Creek. Is this thing worth fighting? Would you fight it?

BR still has traffic cameras?

I thought they did away with those.

As long you had the legal right to turn on red and turned appropriately, I’d fight it. Usually courts will toss those things with no worries so long as they haven’t had prior issues with the driver.

Good luck.

In BR, there have not been any repercussions for ignoring them.

My wife has gotten 3 or 4 of them. They send you a few threatening letters but legally they can't do anything about it. No collection on your credit report or anything. It's a big money grabbing scam.

This, I never paid mine and nothing came of them. Nothing on my driving record or credit report.

Everytime someone says this, they play a video showing the driver not coming to a stop.

When you get a boot on your car when you least expect it and have to pay $300 to get it off, you’ll start paying them bet

That's NOLA. They don't do anything about them in BR. Only about half ever get paid.

There is no punishment for vehicle owners who ignore the notice. The city-parish doesn’t sue violators or boot their cars. The information doesn’t get reported to insurance companies or filed in police databases. It isn’t a hindrance to renewing a license, nor is it filed in driving records.

Please don't give those people your money. Just never acknowledge them in any way.

They are fake tickets. They aren't even a ticket, they are a "civil infraction" or something. That is why you can't take it to court or anything.

Bleaux it off. Besides them repeatedly sending you junk mail, nothing will happen.

Tear it up, throw it in the trash, and never give it a second thought. Until it shows up in the mail again - rinse and repeat.

They don't do that in Lafayette or BR. Lafayette's contract expired so they aren't issuing tickets anymore. Last I heard they were thinking about just using them in school zones.

There’s talk about reimbursing folks in Nola who got a camera ticket from 2013-2015 (before nopd took over the cameras). I hope some how Louisiana tax payers flip this bill solely based on the fact to see the outrage on this board. Plus, if these reimbursements do happen I’ll ger a big chunk of money back.

Nola boot’s > br lame duck cameras
