Are pet cemeteries and burial insurance for pets weird?

I have a cousin who sells preneed and burial insurance. His policies offer pet funeral coverage as a perk. Do you think the whole pet funeral arrangements are strange or what?

Super weird, but pet deaths hit some people really hard, and they've got every right to feel how they feel, and do whatever they want with the body.

Me I'd just bury it in the yard.

Its not surprising to me, people love their pets like a family member including myself, but I'm not going to go out and buy burial insurance for them.

I cremate and put ashes under the root system of a new tree I plant.

There is an old pet cemetery down below Violet, La off the old St B road. Hell, it was there when I was 5. Now 60. Very creepy.

I used to do legal work for the owner of a pet cemetery. She had been in a meeting with other owners of pet cemeteries, and they were extremely worried about some ordinances passed up in New York. The ordinances were stating that humans couldn't be buried in pet cemeteries with their pets. I had to research for her whether there was anything in Tennessee that would prevent her from being buried with her dogs in her pet cemetery. I found that weird

That reminds of of millionaires who leave their fortune to a pet and write the children out of the will.

I was coming to say the insurance part is weird bc they don't stay dead...or buried.
