Some birth controls have an actual indication for hormonally regulated acne, which is why we recommend it all the time.

Not going to let her date. Will put a tracker on her cell phone and the app that sends all of her calls and text directly to my phone. This is what my cousin uses and he says it works beautifully. His daughter is different though so he has no worries.

Do what you have to do. Teenagers/most people didn't have cell phones when I was that age. It didn't stop things from happening.

He was a dad because he wasn't smart. Blaming it on the girl not being on the pill is a little off.

And if she had been on the pill?

I am looking at this from a parents perspective. It's much easier to put your child on BC than rely on some kid to do contraception right.

She's not "going to do it anyway" at 15 if she was raised with some class and dignity.

And you'd be swelling with pride if your 15 year old son was pounding it out. Double-standards. Sad!

Someone posted on here yesterday that his 14 year old high schooler likes puppies, skin lotions, disney princesses, and sleeping between mommy and daddy. And he didn't see anything developmentally wrong with that.

Poor kid is almost definitely having a hard time at school if she is really like that.

We actually had this conversation with my teen daughter. I told her condoms were cheap and more effective.

Well, you lied, if you're talking about pregnancy prevention. Condoms tear, especially when dumbass teenage boys don't know how to use them. It also puts more of the onus of protection on the dumbass teen boys.

ETA:

and birth control is free with insurance.

She probably blew half the football team and puts on a front for her parents.

Knowing what I know now? I'd rather my 15 year old not get pregnant.

By discouraging that now you're just asking for trouble later. I know more than one guy I graduated with that was a dad by 18 because the girl was off the pill.
We'll just agree to disagree.

Yep. The last thing I'd want to rely on is some 16 year old boys ability to put on a condom or have a strong pull out game.

I was 16 not long ago. Me and my gf fricked like rabbits. And if I didn't have a condom she was still going to frick my brains out. Thank God for BC

If she is playing sports year round and going to church activities on the weekends and not letting her hang out with friends in co-ed settings, she won't have time. She will plenty of time in college to skank it up. She can wait until then.

My wife's daughter went to an all girls school, sang in the choir, was a straight A student taking AP classes, played multiple sports, and took music lessons, but still managed to have a boy friend and have sex, we know this because she told her mother. Unless you chain them in their room at all times, a teenager will find a way to do whatever they want, I know I did and my parents never had a clue.

I'm just going to use my cousin's approach. His daughter is extremely beautiful and super smart. She is well rounded and very sure of herself. I ask him for advice all the time.

you think solid parenting is going to fly in the face of pure hormonal driven primal instincts?

Lol
Just because you have class and dignity doesn't mean you don't like to get railed like a little whore in bed.

I remember what we used to call the girls over at St. Josephs academy. Do they still call them that?
