I know two guys that did.
First guy married a woman from Colombia. They've been married for nearly 20 years. She was and still is beautiful and treats him like a king.
Second guy married a girl from Russia. She was pretty too, but when he introduced her to his plant manager at the plant I used to work at, she took a liking to said plant manager. She divorced him and married the plant manager.

I feel like Asians are less likely to bolt on you than Slavic women.

I was asked once to marry a co-worker’s daughter so she could get her green card and live here. Lady was always very kind, hard-working, and the daughter was beautiful, but it was too strange to even entertain. Didn’t even remember that happening till halfway through reading this post. They were Romanian if I remember correctly, and knowing what I know now, good move, younger self, good move.

I knew one, worked at our company for a long time. She eventually dumped the first husband and married someone else. That's a common story line I imagine.

An operator where I used to work had a mail order bride. Said it was the best thing that ever happened to him. Granted this was all within the first year.
I think as soon as they get their citizenship...the percentages of them disappearing is very high.

The one mail order bride situation I personally know of is a guy in Cali that married an Asian. She cheated on him and got knocked up so they divorced.
She is now in jail for kidnapping her own child. She apparently took the kid out of state and kept it away from the dad despite having joint custody.
The ex husband visits her in jail every weekend and plans on taking her back once she is out. He is 64 and pretty lonely and desperate. She is in her early 30s now.

I know a guy who ordered him one from Ukraine several years ago. Far as I know they’re still together. I’d guess their kid is probably in his early teens now.

Saw a stat a few years ago that showed they had a lower percentage of divorces than "traditional" marriages.
