I think stadium atmospheres in general to an extent aren't what they used to be. Everyone has a cell phone and shorter attention spans nowadays. Student section especially get bored faster and easier. Games everywhere now have corporate elements and piped in music. Really just a reflection of society nowadays.

The same old farts who tell you to sit down can be seen days later at work bragging to their non-LSU fan coworkers how electric Death Valley is. And they're right, but it's because of the passion of others that they piggieback on.

There's no need to stand up. You can make just as much noise sitting. This coming from someone who used to think exactly like you. Then I grew up.

And that’s basically what I do. Stand and cheer. Sit down until the next big play. Guy had a problem with that.
