From an evolutionary standpoint, this makes a lot of sense. Women were the gatherers and hearthkeepers. It is why they work best within a cooperative group dynamic founded on communication. Now, they do try to jockey within that group to gain status within that hierarchy, but it is a much flatter pyramid than that of the men.
Men, on the other hand, as hunters are much more comfortable working within a fairly rigid, para-military structure founded on discipline and the chain of command. Men generally relieve stress by acting out or accomplishing tasks (goal oriented). Women do so by communicating and working within processes (process oriented).

i can deal with it to a large extent but being an introvert makes it difficult sometimes. my inexperience makes balancing my need for being in a quite place alone and understanding she's just getting out stress a tough act
luckily i'm used to being "the better man" and understanding the issues of others and letting it slide. she has put forth almost no effort to understand me or my side and does the "reasonable man" argument where only her side is reasonable if we disagree (which is hilarious to me internally given my personal and e-social lives)

well to be fair, the proportion may be vastly different. if she's devoted 100 r (resources, just as a general variable for this discussion/post) to bitching and this thread is his only example and it's 1 r, while they're both bitching she's doing it 100x more than he is
and given this board's population is probably 98% males, of course males will bitch more. but how many repeat customers do you see?
