Just finished this one up earlier this afternoon. It’s an Arado Ar 196 A-3. This was the primary reconnaissance aircraft of the Kreigsmarine during WWII, operating primarily on capital surface ships like the Bismarck, Prince Eugen, etc. The particular example I chose to build served with 1/BordfliegerGr. 196 aboard the battleship Tripitz.

Why is a sea plane painted in green camo?

You’d have to ask the Germans that question.

Thanks folks! The floats dealt me fits and at one point I wasn’t sure I’d be able to get them set properly.

I kinda feel bad for mine. Imagine having nothing better to do than go through threads to down vote someone you don’t know. It’s kinda sad.

That’s awesome. I usually stick with WWII era aircraft and armored myself. Want all did you buy? I’ve got about 20-21 kits to build in my stash right now. I think my next kit up will be a 1/72 scale Hasegawa B-24J like this...

There’s something captivating about a trail of blood leading to that Jedi on his back.

He arrived here after traveling many years from a distant galaxy, only to be killed by a Nazi throwing lead at him, the only substance unaffected by a light saber.
