LSU quit doing that this year but you could probably use the old guidelines to have an idea what you'll be offered. Yes, I know this for a fact. My daughter starts in the fall, she got the scholarship that her grades and test scores would have gotten her before. She also got 2 others because she took the time to find out how to apply to for more specific scholarships. I am very proud of her.

This is true. I have a co worker whose daughter received over 1 million in scholarships because she applied to a ton of schools. She didn't even get a full ride to any of them unless you count grants. She made a 22 on the ACT.
My daughter had over a 4.0 with a 29 on ACT and her biggest offer was 44k from LSU which didn't even cover out of state tuition so she went to Ole Miss.

Honestly. The HBCUs have this thing where you can apply to multiple schools at one time.
Not discounting the schools, but it's easy to apply to many of them.
