Everything works perfectly. Plus the PS4 also streams all that suff should I need a back up.
ETA - I’m not sure if I can screen cast with current set up. But I could see that being an accident waiting to happen.

PS4 works just fine. You can cast video apps from your phone to the PS4. Depending on the TV, you can do it to that too. I cast to my Sony all the time.

I hate the touchpad on the Apple TV remote. Most of the time it doesn’t know what you want (go back, pause, or go forward) and since there’s a 2/3 chance it’ll pick the wrong one, it does.

I’m pretty sure you can adjust the sensitivity of the touch pad.

If you’re good with your PS4 and TV apps, I’d say you’re good.
There are some nice iOS/Apple TV integration-features for streaming, casting etc, but probably not worth paying $150 if you’re good with what you have.

How about you use your TV remote and use the “Learn Remote” function on your Apple TV?
I set it to where the Apple TV turns on when I hit the “EXIT” button on my TV remote. It’s a button I never use. It turns on the Apple TV and automatically turns on my TV and turns to the correct HDMI channel
I haven’t used my Apple TV Remote in over 3 years

One of my customers with a house full of preteen kids took a short piece of 2x12 and used velcro to attach all 3 living room remotes. Painted the board red, and they never lost a remote again.
