I fricking hate it!!! What’s this obsession with everything needing to be ultra small???
It’s easy to lose. Weighs about as much as a toothpick. It’s so small it easily fumbles around in your grip and fricks up the tv because you accidentally touch all functions when trying handle it. Even picking it up isn’t easy!! fricking hate it!
And I thought this virus was irritating!

Had a friend who was a graphic designer that interned at Apple and he said they basically wanted to eliminate all buttons from their products. To have perfectly sleek design at all costs.

They really value the way something looks over how it functions.

I have a few of them. The remotes function perfectly as designed. It’s just that the design sucks balls.

Highly recommend getting a remote case for amazon. And get a bright color. Did that and it protects it and makes it easier to find.

Just use your phone. Apple makes a remote app.

Download the free app on your phone. Works the same but better.

I've always liked Roku better than Apple TV.

best advice, and because it's a rubbery case it doesn't slide down the sides of the sofa so easily, etc.

Yeah it's the fricking worst. Using touch sensitivity for fast forward is so retarded because you just simply pick the damn thing up, and it goes haywire.

There's no volume control on the app so I'd have to use 2 remotes.

I like the remote except rewinding and fast forwarding is a pain in the arse.

I don’t have Apple TV. Should I get one?

My TV allows me to stream just about everything. Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+., and YouTube.

Help an old man out.

If you can download all the same apps I don’t see the need.

Smart TVs usually crap out because app updates usually aren't as plentiful as they are for Roku, apple TV, fire stick, etc. I've got a couple Samsung smart TVs that are only 5ish years old, and their apps suck so I have to use apple TV/firestick on them. We have a Sony in the living room with Android TV/Chromecast built in that works fine for now, but TBD in a few years.

Edit: by crap out I mean the smart TV capabilities, not the display itself. If it runs sluggish, get a Roku or similar and it'll be fine.
