Governor Desantis has a history of firing State attorneys that go down the Soros path of not wanting to prosecute criminals. He got sued for it and won that too.

The OP is taking some liberty with the ambiguity of “in front of”. As best as I can tell, he was in his car and no kids could actually see him. If that’s accurate, I could see how this would fall into the “fricked up but not illegal” basket, depending on how the statute reads.
