Apparently Gotcha was a good name for the E-bike company

They got a lot of municipalities (baton Rouge) to buy in and now hey gone. Bikes just left on the streets. So now they are litter.

A spokesperson in Burlington said that around 100 bikes were left inoperable and with dead batteries,

I’m assuming he picked up a hefty check for licensing fees and the use of his name. Maybe made a few appearances at pitch meetings before startup, then washed his hands. I seriously doubt he had any role in actually operating the company.

You can't even attempt to rent one as there is no entity to take your fee. So there they sit.
