Anywhere around BR or LP to take kids to ride horses?

Watching the rodeo with the children tonight and it got brought up they would Like to ride a horse. Are there any stables around that do horseback riding without the fancy stuff. Probably just be a one off deal. Just like in a pasture or around an arena? Totally a newb here.

Off of Greenwell Springs Road in Central. I think it's Heck Farms IIRC but I can confirm if you want me to.
ETA - yeah it was Heck. My wife took the kids so I couldn't remember.

Sure. It can totally be a lead rope ride around an arena just to let them see what it’s like

That doesn't sound like any place for an innocent child.

Frazier Farms in Greenwell springs (Central). Mike and Deidre Frazier. They run a boarding barn and rent broke horses for newbies who have never done it. Very good people who will take care
Of your kiddos. And you.
ETA: it’s actually called Fraziers Homestead. 278-8855. Google them. $45/hr to rent a horse for a
Trail ride on The Amite River.

If your kids enjoy it (and I’m sure they will), there use to be trail ride ranches. I guess they still have them. You ride 2-3 hours out, have lunch/picnic, and then ride back.
I warn you now, you will be super sore the next day, legs, arse, back.

I'm taking my kid here tomorrow for her birthday. It's in Bush, near Covington, on the river.
I'll let you know how it goes. https://splendorfarms.com/
Frazer in Greenwell Springs was our second choice.
