Yes, the price is specific to your particular vehicle.

Newer model Toyota Landcruiser windshield replacements are around 1,000 due to some fancy crack resistant structural design.

I had a Bronco II a long time ago and those side windows are curved at the top. $2,400 to replace when I broke one

I'm sure if you can afford the new Landcruiser you're not concerned with the cost to replace a windshield

As a matter of fact, I had my windshield replaced yesterday by Safelite at my house. :)

Very happy with their service

WTF kind of vehicle do you have that would cost $600 for a windshield?

Some new F150s windshields have rain sensor, acoustic shield, and lane departure features

Does it really matter?

Yes, at least to me and my family since the windshield is a major part of the roof support structure of your vehicle and good glass will not chip/crack as easy as cheap crap.

They used the factory glass for my jeep

I'm not sure but I think if you request it they have to use it, sort of like OEM parts vs aftermarket parts at a body shop.

If a rock falling from a dump truck moving 60+mph falls onto the road, bounces, and hits your windshield that shite is going to crack... I don't give a shite what kind of premium windshield you pay for.

If he was having it done insurance, thats probably an insurance price. Jeep windshields aren't that expensive, but insurance tells the shop how much to charge. So a windshiled that cost $175 cash, the insurance may actually pay $500 for.

factory windshields are the exact same as non-factory on most vehicles. Buying a factory gm windshield is a waste of money. Even the factory ones are made in mexico.

That was the price I was quoted before I went through insurance.

Safelite has always done a good job for me.
I once had them meet me at the golf course and the job was done while I played golf.

I've used 4 different ones over the years and they all came to either my house or office. Just used Safelite last year and he did it in my garage. They are all about the same and no cost to me so it doesn't matter who you use.

I know this is late, but search "Advanced Windshield" and ask for Jason. Best in the biz and goes anywhere.

If you have glass coverage you should easily be able to find someone to replace it with using your $0 deductible and they also should give you at least $100 cash

I have used Safelite for chips and such and had good luck with them.

Last week my windshield had a crack that ran, so I had to replace it completely. I went to Blue Harbor for an oil change in Mandeville and they offered me a replacement windshield for my 2011 F-150 for $240 with tax and they came to my house and were done in 45 minutes. Very satisfied with their work and price seemed very reasonable. Ask for Conor if you go there. Good Luck.
