re: Anyone use razors from a Shave Club? Trying to decided if they are worth a try.

I tried Dollar Shave Club years ago. I had the 4 blade razor. It was decent, about the same as a Mach 3 and cheaper than the Fusion. Their shave butter was worth it. Then I grew a beard and eventually cancelled the service. I was only shaving my neck twice a week so the supply lasted a while, and my wife used the rest up on her legs.

Their shave butter was worth it.
I'll preface this by saying I used a Mach 3 and whatever generic shaving cream for the last 10 or however many years after using the cheap stuff before when I was younger. My skin was always red and irritated afterwards and into the next day, and I just chalked it up to that just always happens when you shave.
So I'm not saying necessarily that the Shave butter is the best, maybe there's better or similar products. But since I went to the Shave butter, it's been like night and day, I never really realized I could shave and immediately after and into the next day I wouldn't even know I shaved by the way my neck felt.

I have used Schick hydro for years. Last month I decided to try both Harry's and dsc. I was disappointed in both. The Harry's handle felt very nice, but both blades felt very dry against my skin. Possibly due to me being used to the schick hydros. Either way, I won't be going back to either of them. I found some hydro blades on Amazon for basically the same price as Harry's and that's what I'm going to stick with

The biggest issue I've had with these multiblade razors is shaving in tight areas under the nose.

SO tried the dollar shave club and he used it once and didn't like the quality (he said it felt too rough).
Toughen him up.

When I was a kid my father used Ivory Soap as shaving cream, body wash and shampoo. With the old single edge blades.
I use Fusion 5 and I get 12 blades for $32 on Amazon, shave everyday and that lasts me a year. 1 month per blade. If I shave every other day they don’t last as long.

I’ve tried both DS and Harry’s. Both are inferior to Gillette. Blades dull quick. And their straight blade for edges sucks! So I always kept a Gillette just to do the edges.
Like previously stated the shave butter is great.

Dollar shave club. I like it, haven’t had any complaints. I just get the blades not any of the creams and that crap.
