My hair had always been parted on the right side since I was a little kid. At some point in my late 20’s I moved and started going to a new barber. She mentioned to me that my hair was parted on the wrong side and asked if I wanted to switch. Told me I would need to basically buzz my head and then as it grew back out she could cut it to part on the left side. I figured I would give it a try and she was absolutely right. It looked much better afterwards and was actually even easier to brush and style each morning

When I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last May I went through chemo and a Whipple surgery. I didn’t lose all my hair, but it got very thin. It has grown back, but with definite changes in texture. Weird waves and cowlicks. I changed from a left to a right part. You do what you gotta do.

I tried it once & it felt really weird. Like using your opposite hand to beat off.

If you’re right handed it’s unnatural to part you hair on the left. It throws the universe out of balance and invites evil forces.

I parted with my hair over 10 years ago and don’t miss it.

Little known fact:
We subconsciously view hair parting differently. The left indicates masculinity and authority while the right indicates weakness and submissiveness.

It’s why Superman’s hair is parted on the left and Clark Kent’s is parted on the right.

Or so says some random YouTube video I watched anyway.

It could be because of that, or we might just change our parts from time to time due to thinning hair.

But I think it's mostly a result of being right handed or left handed.
