What would happen to me if I snort Afrin just once?

I usually hit each nostril with nasacort at night before bed and my allergies are tolerable. Keeps my nose clear during the night too, so I sleep a lot better. I went to morning nand night for a while and I started to get nosebleeds, so I cut back to once per day.

2xday. Wake up and before bed for the last 15 years or so.

I just tried Afrin. It's glorious. I'm worried I may already be hooked.

Be careful. It can actually cause your sinuses to swell if you use it more than a few days in a row without a break.

That's what I'm worried about. This is the first time in 3 days I can breathe through my nose though.

Flonase ate up my nose. Made me get nose bleeds and now my nostrils look like I've been snorting coke by the pound for 20 years. Be careful using it too much

I've suffered with chronic sinus infections and took weekly allergy shots all thru elementary school. As an adult I've had Flonase nasonex etc prescribed to me and none of them work. I can't use medications that dry you up bc they usually make my heart race and I feel flutters. Recently I found out the main problem, a CT scan revealed abnormally formed sinus canals. I was given the option of surgery and the outcomes aren't worth it enough for me to go ahead with it. I just keep Kleenex in business.

Yeah, as it's in the instructions for the first few days..

I'm not talking about one spray, I'm talking about dosage, which could be one or two sprays.
