To be fair, that is literally the only information that has been provided.
Good chance the shooter has been taken down and that is just where they are evacuating the students.

If your kid was evacuated due to a fire at the school, and you read on the news that all the kids were waiting in the next door gas storage building, how'd you react if that was the only info had for instance?
