I remember when he was campaigning and he was somewhere in the bible belt and that frick walked out with a bible. I couldn't believe thought he was sincere.

There’s a bunch in that neighborhood behind the mosque off of Wooddale near Florida. A handful of Iranians and Saudis as well.

Well it is, but so is setting foreign policy based on religion.

I get that, though in this case it doesn't seem to be the raison d'etre. My understanding is this administration is acknowledging something that has long been a de-facto reality in Israel. But because of wanting to play make-nice with Hamas and the UN we refused to acknowledge it.

I don't have a problem with it. But the Arab world sure is worked up over what is just a formal gesture. F em.

For the first time since I have been able to vote, I didn't... Because I truly believed there was no one worth voting for that was good for this country.

Oh I know and these people don't care about Jews as people, only that they possess the land the sacred temple is on, so the ancient prophecy can come true.

I mean it's silly when you think about it.

You are exactly right. It really all comes down to land and they have been fighting over it for 2000 years. They continue to kill each other over it. America has nothing to gain by getting involved.

You're an Alabama fan. I wouldn't be so brazen throwing those stones.

Now, get off your sister.

I thought Trump was going to be awful but slightly better than Hillary. I was wrong. He appointed Gorsuch, removed the US from the Paris climate Accord, repealed numerous regulations, reduced illegal immigration through enforcement and is trying to cut taxes and repeal ObamaCare. He has been far better than I ever anticipated

True. Atcha, Akasha, and Arzi’s are all Palestinian. Serop’s, Kamal’s, and Albasha’s are all Lebanese Catholics, though.

Atcha's may be Palestinian but they are from Jordan and are intertwined with the Islamic Center. One of the Laymons from Arzi's told me they were from Syria. The Serop's are a mix of Armenian and Lebanese. There's tons of Lebanese people in Louisiana especially in the Lafayette area. They do not stand out at all because they're mostly Catholics.

It seems odd how many are differentiating whites from Arabs when Arabs are in fact white. Not that it should matter. Anyway, I married into a Christian Palestinian family and they are unmistakably caucasian. The Christian Arabs often have no genetic admixture coming in from elsewhere in the Muslim world like Muslim Arabs do.

Notable Arabs that many don't even realize are Arab: Jamie Farr (Klinger from MASH), Danny Thomas, George Noory, Ralph Nader, John Zogby, and Paul Anka.

Half Arabs: Jerry Seinfeld, Steve Jobs, Doug Flutie, Steve Boustany, and John Sununu.

Let's put down the pitch forks, ya'll.

Hopefully authorities took pictures of all the protestors and added them to the terrorism watch list

I didn't say anything about them not being white. I was discussing the religion of their owners. Also, there are slight differences in the recipes between the Christian and Muslim peoples of that region, even when producing the same dishes. There's nothing wrong with being one religion or one culture verses another. I was merely pointing out that there are several different immigrant groups residing in South Louisiana that have added their culinary traditions to the area.
