Is staying like some badge of honor and people are supposed to be impressed? I keep seeing people boasting that they’re staying on social media….no one thinks you’re brave. Everyone here thinks you’re an idiot if you stay in the path of this thing.

My dad is. My siblings and I tried to talk him out of staying but didn’t work. I have a few neighbors staying as well….some voluntarily and others because of their plants jobs.

We left Destrehan at 3am on Saturday, caught no traffic on drive to Destin. My sister on law and her boyfriend ended up staying. My neighbor was staying, but not sure hadn't talked to them to see if they changed their mind.

On Thursday, all my neighbors said they were staying. As of this morning only 1 did not leave. Gonna be a wild one.

My parents are staying. Best bank right up by river. If I lived in ormond or south of 90 I would peace out. Doubt storm surge would reach river road on west bank. East bank floods when I piss over there

It's been gnarly as hell in luling / lakewood for the past few hours. Really ready for wind to die down. Multiple huge trees down near holy family church, shingles been peeling off etc
