Jennifer Lopez started out as a fly girl on In Living Color. They also advertised their show as a halftime alternative during the Super Bowl in 1992. Keenan Ivory Wayans and his brothers Damon, Marlon, Shawn. Jamie Foxx, Jim Carrey. It was hilarious but only lasted five seasons. Here's one of my favorite sketches about a fictional superhero named Handiman:

Back when making fun of trans people wouldn't get someone kicked out of Hollyweird

It was very funny and could never be aired today. A time in this country when people still had a sense of humor.

ILC took a big hit when the Wayans siblings bailed.
The network started micromanaging the show from a censorship perspective after the Super Bowp halftime special.
Combine that with Jim Carrey hitting it big and you had a show that couldn’t keep producing because of a lack of talent and hands on executives breaking shite.

Yeah I was just thinking this morning about the Hand That Rocks The Cradle parody with Vera De Milo.

It’s my all time favorite sketch comedy show.
Men on Film
Handi-Man
Fire Marshall Bill
Homey the Clown
This was a collection of mostly young comics that were unleashed without the usual PC constraints bc Fox was a new network at the time. The talent on that show was phenomenal. Damon Wayans, Jim Carrey, Jaimie Foxx, David Alan Grier, Tommy Davidson.
The early 90s was a golden era of sketch comedy IMO. You had peak SNL, In Living Color, and Kids N The Hall

Yeah, great show. Too bad that it had limited presence but also served as a springboard of sorts for Jim Carrey and others during the 90s. Early on casting was a hit, but they weren't churning out new stars to keep the show alive.
