I used to hate kicking brand new balls. The only thing you really need to do though is brush the wax off of them and just have him keep kicking them. The more he kicks them and the more they hit the grass and skid on the grass they'll wear in perfectly.

Why do the college balls have the white stripes but the NFL balls never have? Is there any reason, other than just to distinguish them?

I was hesitant to put leather conditioner made for car seats on the balls, since that stuff always seems so slick.

Think it has something to do with the stripes make it easier to pickup in the air so the Pros don’t use them to increase the difficulty.

NFL also uses a different size ball than college.

Correct. The pro ball, made by Wilson, is also longer, flatter, and a little heavier. Most college balls are made by Nike, and assembled and produced by the big game in Frisco Texas.

I’d like to clean them up and prep them like the pros do.

The NFL does not use the same football that the NCAA uses
