The parts list was very detailed with easy to follow steps. I believe it was around 30 dollars in parts. The hardest part was finding the really small drill bit to create the orrifice.

You need a high pressure regulator that I ordered online and don't remember the cost. The refrigerant tank was free. You can pick those up easily since they are not recyclable.

I am sure it added up to be around 100 dollars when all said and done. I did it with my father in law and we probably spent two afternoons getting it all working. He has a drill press, so that made it easier.

I just don't have the space for woodworking...or the funds to equip the a nonexistent shop.

But I'd like to get into it one day. At least make some simple boxes or something.

Made one this week out of an edger blade. Wish I had a belt grinder so I can get the bevel the way I like. But for just a hand grinder and a worksharp it's ok.

Getting some steel blanks in and may copy my Esee. Run to a friends house with his belt grinder and buy some scales and good to go

That, sir, is fantastic. They are great blades, and your woodwork looks really well-done. Please, add to the thread as you accomplish more. The pocket-knife thread from this past week gives evidence that a lot of the baws treasure their knives.

Thank you for the photos and the good work.

Another set of awesome knives/blades.
My bride and I are really into The History Channel's "Forged in Fire" if I had any kind of "handy" ability, it's something I'd love to pursue as well. But don't have the money, time, OR ability.

You fellows have some worthy talent.

Going to finalize the shape and edging today. Would be easier with a belt grinder. Just trying this for the first time. Something for skinning.

Figures once I get the shape and all like I like, I will then go in and shape the blade edge. I gave myself room to play with.
