I know the new GM of the Bulldog on Magazine and I know he worked his way up from door guy to GM. He's one of my best baws

Going to junior college is pretty much lighting your money on fire. It's high school with ashtrays. Just keeping flipping burgers well and if you work hard (unlike 90% of fast food employees), then they will recognize it and you can be making 30K a year in no time for the rest of your life.

Seriously though, I have a few friends who worked their way up from being cooks and waiters to owning their own restaurants or investing in very successful/famous ones.
Normal progression is:
Worker
Manager
GM
Boss man

I have a friend that has a hospitality management degree from AU that makes under 50k with 10 years experience.
