I have a Gen 1 Ridgeline. An '07. Zero problems outside of a plastic pully on the counterweight that helps tilt the rear seat up that needed to be replaced. Changed the timing belt myself at 117k miles. It's a great daily driver, soooo much easier to live with than then full sized PUs I've had in the past. We all know what a PITA parking a full sized PU is. The Ridgeline is a dream in comparison. Having a large locking trunk you can fit your family's luggage in is a game changer. When taking the family to the range it's nice being able to lock all the guns safely in the trunk and have room for 4 people in the cab. No more guns rolling around the bed under a tonneu cover. Tonneu cover was a must have for me on the full size for dry luggage space that wasn't the back seat. Now I hardly ever put the tonneu cover on my Ridgeline. I've hauled couches, lumber, mountain bikes, straw, hay, gravel, scout's pop corn, etc in the bed of my Ridgeline. Not sure how much the 22ft Pontoon weights but it tows it without any issues. I wouldn't want to tow something that large across the sierra nevadas but for in town pulling the pontoon out of the water to take it to be serviced the Ridgeline has been very capable. FWD biased AWD system is pretty awesome for pulling boats up wet ramps.

Usually import owners gloss over this under "maintenance".
Domestic trucks, besides be actual trucks, don't have timing belts.

Most truck owners don't haul anything

American truck buying lot is such a strange lot. I don't know if it's ignorance or machismo that has them holding on to the antiquated notion that a truck needs a steel ladder frame and apparently a timing chain like there is some sort of definition in Merriam Webster's dictionary that lists sub frame types and timing devices as a precursor to being labeled a truck.
You need to tow 12k lbs? Absolutely you want a steel frame and a heavy duty solid axle rear end. Zero reason for someone towing less than 5k to ever need a steel ladder frame and a live axle. Heck Dodge Durando does 7.5k on a unibody. Move to a Unibody design and ditch the live axle and antiquated leaf spring and you open up a world of design possibilities to make a truck that is lighter, stiffer, quieter, and rides and handles remarkably better with actual modern day suspension. This type of stupid ignorant thinking is what is holding back the mid sized truck market. I hope the Mavrick does well as maybe it will open the door for more small unibody trucks in the market.
I'm old enough to remember when the small and mid sized SUV market when through this very change in the 90's. "That's not a real SUV". Heard that said about the Explorer. RAV4 and CR-V. Were they are burly and capable as their large ladder framed distant cousins? No. But they were the vehicles 95% of people needed.

You manly Ford, Chevy, GMC and Ram "owners", you best have your speed limiter removed. Otherwise the little Ridgeline is gonna beat you on the top end.

I had a 2008 Ridgeline, put 200K+ miles on it with not a single issue. Other than a couple recalls due to airbags, it never went to the dealer. It did everything I needed it for, including pulling my tractor and boat. Drove it cross country a few times as well.
If you live your life frightened some cowpoke will giggle that you have a ridgeline, don't buy one.
Unless you plan on towing a dozer, gigantic camper or loaded livestock trailer, get one, you won't regret it.
5000# towing capacity is easily sufficient for most people.

An Avalanche will actually do truck things since it's a Suburban with a box.
Unfortunately not made since 2014. Wish they would bring it back.

If you want a truck and can’t buy American, get a Toyota.

I own a 2019 RTL-E, and it is hands down my favorite vehicle I have ever owned, of 10.
Comfortable, practical, decent gas mileage, does all the truck things I need, fits in my garage, lots of neat features, and Honda reliability.

Do not do it. Buy a real truck, Honda = woman driver, woman styling

How much do 10-15 year old Ridgelines go for? Looks like a good option for a third vehicle to haul the occasional load of mulch, pair of kayaks, etc. probably more hauling than the “that’s not a real truck” slapdicks do. Especially if I could use it for a few years then pass down to a 16 year old kid in a few years.
I also saw a timing belt post. Interference engine or not?
