Anyone here have Shingles?

Public service announcement. If you’re over 50 get the Shingles vaccine. I have it over the right side of my face/scalp/eye. It’s extremely painful and kinda worried about regaining my vision. So get the vaccine people.

The newer shingrix vaccine is over 90 percent effective. It's two doses, taken 2-6 days apart. I just got it and was sick for two days, so plan for that. Guy at work my age missed 6 weeks last year because of shingles getting in his eye. Not risking that.

Shingles affects the CNS the same way a jellyfish sting does. Have someone urinate on the affected area and it will give you some relief. Large black women have higher levels of kn33-gapleze in their urine which is comparable to the active ingredient in lidocaine, so maybe you can run down to Burger King and catch one after they close.
