It's going to be slow, and between the seats and the suspension it won't be very comfortable. My brothers series I tops out at 55 mph. They're wonderfully simple trucks though.

The Series III should be just as reliable as a Defender.

We know.

That's all covered by "Arkansas Fan".

Crazy, stupid resale value.

Like 1995 w/150k miles for $60k stupid.

They're less collectible, but Euro imports are half the price.

Run in the direction opposite of that Rover, unless you feel like just throwing money away.

Or you could send me the thousands of dollars instead and I'll kick you in the nuts.

The outcome would be the same.

Exactly!! The 97 sells for $80K plus, into the $100's. Finding the right buyer that doesn't know what they have is what's easy. I had a buddy pick up a 97 D-90 for $22K in WA state with only 82 K worth of mileage from some Doctor that was moving out of the country on a "distress" sale. Talk about goldmine.

Lololololol! Yeah, way more reliable isn't saying much with these. More like...it doesn't break down as much!

Yeah you right but it's only because they were imported into the states for just a few years....LR stopped importing them when US required air bags. I love the look of these but they're notoriously unreliable & have a very lethargic v8. I would buy one only for a 3rd vehicle for weekends or something. Not for a daily driver

I had a '61 Series II 4D that I sold several years ago, and my first car was an '88 Defender.

The II was badass in concept but I'd dump way too much money in to one to make it how I'd like.

It's not meant as a daily driver you tard. It's a project car for enthusiasts that enjoy off-roading. You have no idea what your talking about.

Had one just like that one, but a flat English green.

Diesel.

Slow out of the hole (painfully so).

Indestructible.

Think of an old land rover as agricultural equipment and you'll never be disappointed. And that's not a knock against it, either.

Sure as shite. I had zero problems with that truck old man. I had it 3 years and never experienced on single default. Why are so against Land Rovers? Do you hate the British that much?

The prices seeed to have plateaud, though still really high. The 25yr import rule will increase the supply.
