math is a little off
How?
If 300 people bought at $9000 300 x $9000= $2700000
If the room is bought for $700k then $2.7million - 700k is $2M.

No, it's pretty much a racket. You may save a few bucks, but most still won't. I like variety in my vacations (minus my annual carnival vacation).

The secret to Timeshares is to frick them not let them frick you.
Search for the ones that offer the best packages in return for listening to the high pressure presentation.
These will usually run a soft inquiry and check your income. Tell them you are very interested.
Then just say NO a lot. They will have you talk to managers and all. Just say NO. NO, No.
Take your vacation and enjoy it.
We got a two bedroom suite for four nights for free on Disney property at Bonham Creek. Also a cabin in the smokies with free activity tickets and a waterpark admission. A friend did one that got him an all inclusive.
They put these packages out there, use them with no intention of purchasing. After an hour or two or three of saying No they will let you go on.
You would think that company would never call you again, but generally they call back with more.
99.99% of timeshares are a scam. You are paying to rent a week at a resort, the catch is you will pay "maintenance fees" which would be almost equal to what a resort stay would cost anyway. You pay this one time multi-thousand dollar amount and then you will pay them again when you stay. Sure you get priority at a resort, but really that's it.
Traditional timeshares are even worse as you usually lock in a week out of the year, and you can only go to that place, that week , every year.... Sounds like fun,
These guys look to scam. If you went to one in Branson, you must have got show tickets for it so you are ahead. Always walk away when you are ahead.

Thats about how it goes..lol...
I would like to know how many timeshares they sale per person who attends their presentation. If someone were to give a presentation to try to sell something, it seems like 1.5 hrs is a long time. There are probably people in there who are ready to get out. I bet if they made it a 30min presentation, make them wait a good 10-15 mins for their tickets in a room that has the environment of the resort.. There are a few other things that would have to be taken in consideration, but doing that seems like you can get more people in.

Yes, and you have to pay "transfer fees" to move to another timeshare location.
