This is the big issue. 1 or 2 kids and you have a few options. the 3rd kid makes everything cramped. Squeezing all three in the second row will probably not work. Moving one into the third row helps but if you have to use a third row all the time, you lose cargo space in a midsize or even a tahoe. Don't even mention going on vacation.

The Sequoia was our next purchase after owning a Suburban. 3rd row seat was the reason. Worse fuel economy than the Burban.

Yes we did miss the cargo space. We used a roof racked cargo carrier to supplement. Still, the Suburban was more comfortable, more fuel efficient, more powerful, more spacious, but I didn't drive the Sequoia daily. Wife did.

I am not a huge fan of the Sequoia...I feel like they should have made it longer to compete with the Suburbans...plus it has some bad blind spots.
I like Tahoes but I would get the Suburban instead if I was in the market due to the extra cargo room.

It's a no brainer honestly. They drive almost exactly the same (at least close enough that you don't realize the Suburban is longer), but the Suburban is so much more usable. Being able to have a lot of cargo while carrying 7+ is a huge advantage that has almost no downside.

Never in my life do I want 7 people in my vehicle. Take your own damn car.

Wife went from a Yukon XL to a 4 runner. Loves it. Much easier to park. We only have one child so that makes it easy. If we had more than 2 would have to stick with the Yukon XL or suburban. It has the sliding 2nd row seats. Actually is more comfortable in the 3rd row than the Yukon. But I wouldn't put anyone in there for more than 30 minutes in either. Plan on it being the sons first ride in 4 years. Should last forever or until he wrecks it.

My wife went from a Suburban to a Mazda tribute. She HATED it. Gave the Tribute to one of the kids and now she drives a Lincoln Navigator XL (same size as Suburban). She really likes the Navigator.

Agree. I moved from the suburban down to the cayenne for daily use and enjoy it.
