Not sure if it was a UFO or some government/ military prototype but I once saw a large commercial looking plane stop and hover in the sky and start descending straight down like a helicopter landing. This was around 2000.

LOL.. yeah, the CV-22 has been around for almost 20 years now..

No, it didn't have any rotor blades. Just looked like a passenger airliner or a cargo plane. I remember it clearly.

I think it had to have been a UFO using a cloaking device to disguise itself because the government wouldn't test something top secret in such a populated area.

Me. But people need to remember what the acronym stands for... UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT. So you are admitting that it is "UNIDENTIFIED", so to then jump to conclusions that it is aliens from outer space is UNBELIEVABLY ignorant and stupid.

Yes, it was some sort of single engine propeller plane but the identification number was too small to read clearly.

I did when I was maybe 5 or 6. I was laying in bed, looking out my window at night when I noticed something shooting north across the sky with a tail of fire trailing behind it(much like a meteorite entering the atmosphere). I mean, I could have only been looking at it for maybe 3-5 seconds before it came to an immediate halt and just hovered motionless. It was at way too high an elevation to actually see what it was and I remember thinking "did I even just see that?"

It hovered motionless for probably 3 seconds before rocketing off to the west and disappearing. My immediate thought was "It knows I saw it, that's why it stopped" and pulled the covers over my head to hide.

Haven't seen anything since, sadly. And while I question pretty much every story I hear about them, I completely believe other life forms are out there(and more than likely already on our planet in some form).

My dad and uncle were shrimping at night. They stopped and parked in boat in the marsh and layed down, one on the front deck and one on the back deck and waited for the tide to change. After laying down for a few minutes both looking up at the sky they see 5 bright lights zig zagging in the sky, going up down, hovering making many moves that a normal aircraft cant. After they seen that they came home. No drugs were involved in their story that I know of.

On more than one occasion saw them on Richland Road in White Castle. Grandparents lived in cane fields back there. Grandfather actually shot at one while grandmother and cousin were in the kitchen

My story..I was 16, on a road trip with my friend, his brother, and mom to Montana where they had recently moved. We had just stayed the night in Roswell and were driving the next day, probably 40-50 miles away from Roswell.

My friend's brother noticed something flying high in the sky in the desert, then we all saw it. It was a silver metallic orb or ball and was moving about the speed of the car. I tried filming it with a video camera with no success. Anyway we watched it for about 5 minutes or so, then all of the sudden it took off extremely fast and we lost it. We pulled over to try to find it but it was gone.

It was pretty funny because it was right by roswell and we were just at the UFO museum the day before. I'm sure there's some explanation for what it was but it was really cool regardless

One night about 20 years ago I saw something very large, very low, very slow, and very dark fly over. Wouldn't have seen it, but it blocked the view of the stars overhead and all of the insects got quiet as it passed over. When I say large, I'm talking at least 100 ft wide and 500 ft long. Hard to say exactly because of the altitude uncertainty. Somewhere between 300 ft up to 1000 ft. I guess it could have been a blimp flying without lights. Does the military still use blimps?

Well, they exist whether people want to believe it or not. Whether government simulation or prototype or real thing, there have too many credible people who have seen, heard or know things for that much anecdotal evidence not to mean something.

Are you commenting on my long drive, or did you incorrectly read my comment as saying we saw it in Montana?

While camping with my brother and sister when I was a kid, we all woke up to this weird droning sound. The sound was more like a tug boat motor than an airplane. I went outside the tent, looked up, and in the sky, flying fairly low, was a large triangle shaped object surrounded by orange lights. It flew right over us slowly but never stopped. To this day I don't know what it was I saw, but I definitely don't think it was aliens. It actually was really similar looking to the supposed Phoenix lights phenomenon I've seen on tv. I was close enough though to see it was definitely a solid triangular object and not ultralights flying in a flight pattern or flairs.

I tend to agree. I believe it is incredibly arrogant of us to think we are the only intelligent life form that exists in the Universe.

Well what do you chalk that up to? That is unexplainable to me based on some of the multiple videos of the event I have seen. I don't understand how people can just explain that away.

Yes. I have. There was no mistaking what it was. Only about 200 feet away and a hundred feet up. It wasn't even dark yet but getting there. It was very clear. Silver disc about 40 feet above some pine trees. Three of us saw it. I stopped and rolled down my window to look above it. I honestly thought that I find a blimp or helicopter with cables coming down to it holding it up. Nope.

I opened my door to get out and walk over to it to get a closer look and the people with me threw a shite fit. Closed the door and just watched it. Flew slow straight over the road in front of us...stopped a few seconds then left at an angle of about 45 degrees like it was shot out of a canon. No slow acceleration. From stopped to gone in two or three seconds.

Yeah. frick you. I wouldn't believe it either. But it happened.
