My second job in high school was a food runner/kitchen hand at a large, popular barbecue restaurant. It was a nasty arse job and permeated your clothes with the smell of smoked meat and lard. Everyone that worked there was angry, and they say angry bbq is the best, but I digress. I saw it all in my few months there. I almost got into a fight with the bartender once and saw a coworker take his frustrations out on a customers pork tenderloin. I even had a waiter return a plate with brisket that had a shoe print on it.

It was a lot of screaming and cursing just about evernight. Took 2 solid hours to clean up the place on a Friday night. Great job for high school kids though. Made us realize what we didn't want to do in life.
