I know several doctors who are weekly, if not daily, smokers.

I went to Denver in January. Maybe I went to the wrong part of it (as I know ALL cities have their problem areas), but it was a pot fest and everyone in that area, at that time, was rude and obnoxious. I'm no prude, believe me.

Before my trip, I was okay with legalizing pot and taxing the hell out of it, but I'm not so sure. As I understand it, crime has risen as a result of it. My niece and nephew live in Aurora.

One of the smartest richest most successful people I know is a daily or weekly smoker.

The poster you quoted probably doesn’t know anyone without a camo pullover in their closet.

This, was just in CO a few weeks ago, I know two Drs. One is an ER doc he said it has totally fricked things up.

Now that is some deep dive analysis right there.

Alcohol destroys lives daily. As long as that is legal, there is no reason why marijuana should continue to be illegal.

Eight other states have legal weed but the anti's only ever use Denver as the example. Denver, very aggressively, marketed itself as a weed destination, so you have more problems like this.

denver is a large urban center with all the attendant problems of every other large urban center in the US and elsewhere. denver's issues, while real and obvious, are in no way cannibis-related

I was referring to the many complaints about smelling weed everywhere in Denver. Weed has been legal in my state for as long as it has been in CO (longer actually) and I haven't noticed any uptick in the frequency that I smell weed around town. On the flipside, Denver might be the most permissive (re public weed consumption) city in the country. People are using an outlier as their argument. That was my point.

I sure hope we never base laws on anecdotal evidence from people who live in bubbles.

To counter your experience, I know several successful people (doctors, MBAs, etc...) that partake.

I’m not necessarily against it, just think it’s trashy as frick.
