Anyone have siblings/family that have came out of the closet?

What were your parents reactions? My barber brought up that his sister just did and the parents aren't too happy

I'm still waiting on my pecker puffing cousin to admit it. Been damn near 2 decades since hes told me that hes gay, just has some ultra religious parents that will probably blow a lid when they find out.

His parents were prob just surprised because they both assumed that their kid that cuts hair would turn out to be the gay one.

My best friend's younger brother came out to their family. His family is pretty catholic, at least the older generations and at least for the purposes of appearance. He confided in his step mom because he thought she would make it easier, and that backfired because apparently she ended up freaking and making a huge deal about it. She worked the dad up about some "horrible" news to where he was freaking out about what it was going to be, and when he found out his son was gay he was just happy that he wasn't dying or something.
Or at least that's how I heard it and imagine it.

My brother is gay and has privately been "out" since the summer before his sophomore year of college. None of us could've cared less. I just remember my dad saying "okay" and going right back to watching Columbo before we ate dinner.
FYI - He's a Brown graduate, a productive member of society and legitimate 6-figure earner. Hates the flamboyant LGBTQABCDEFG+-= victimhood nonsense.

My wife’s family has a disproportionate amount of gays. She has two gay male cousins that are out and two that are still hiding it. Also has 2 lesbian cousins.

I have an uncle that was married for many years and had kids.
Several years ago he came out, got divorced, married a guy and moved to the coast of North Carolina.
They always send a Christmas card and keep asking us to come visit.
Also have a cousin that was a softball player, tomboyish, never married and always goes on vacation with "girlfriends".
Never has come out but her family is pretty heavy Church of Christ and I doubt they would like it too much.

My sister came out about twenty years ago. Most of my family already assumed she was gay so it wasn’t a big deal.
