My teenage son started taking classes recently and would eventually like to spar. Anyone here have kids that have competed in a ring? I have no problem with him wanting to do this , just curious how it works. I think boxing is a great sport.

I run a secret underground kids bare knuckle boxing club. Ages 5 to 12. I can email you details if interested.

My kid (9) does jiu jitsu. After school sometimes the kids in the area play football. There’s one bully 4th grader (culcha) and the other day he was talking shite and my son isn’t the type to be bullied. The kid pulled his hair (which is kinda longish) and forced him to the ground. My son got pissed (I always taught him that hair pulling is for girls) and locked him in a guillotine and was about to put him to sleep until the other kids pulled him off.

I'm glad there will be at least one non-pussy in the upcoming generation

My son boxed when he was 14. Started sparring with the coaches golden glove son immediately. It’s hard to watch them get their butts kicked sometimes, but he gave a few butt kickings to some of the other greenies as well. When his coach left for another gym, the new coach cut out sparring and my son lost interest. I think it’s good for them. I never boxed, but my brother and uncle did.
