The first couple weeks after wards with the packing Suck. Nose will be super sensitive for a while and you'll need to sleep on your back. Overall, I'm glad I had it done.

Had mine done 15 yrs ago. About 75-25 blockage. Performed septoplasty and turbinate surgery (Dr. Charles Mitchell, ftw). Haven't looked back since. Occasionally allergy flare-up, but clearer than I ever was. Can't remember last bout of sinusitis. Take my advice...take your pain meds as prescribed. Cuts down on swelling and discomfort big time.

Had Septoplasty with FESS a month ago. Miserable recovery for the first 3 days. Wouldnt call it worth it right now

I just had septum removed, turbinates reduced, polyps cut out, sinuses cleared, took two and a half hours. When I came to my head felt like I just got kicked by a very large mule. Pain pills reduced that after a couple of hours. A couple of days later took out the packing, not difficult, little pain. A week later he took out the stints, that was more painful, but it did open up the passages. Fair amount of bleeding for the first week, after 3 weeks almost completely stopped. Just use the sinus rinses as instructed to keep your nose clean. Pretty much back to normal now, breathing is much better. Overall a little harder to deal with than I expected but I am in my sixties. If I had done this 15 years ago would have been quicker recovery.

Had mine done last summer, no longer packing they use a type of dissolvent glue, get you a ton of the nasal mist cans at walgreens for after surgery, and shoot it up there as often as possible especially in the shower. I would lightly blow after doing it even though doc said not to blow nose...Went back for check up and was impressed about how everything was pretty much gone, and barely had anything to suck out.
