I own a home with a water well now. The water is crystal clear and seems fine but I've never had it tested. Any place in the Baton Rouge area that someone here has used to test their drinking water?

I tried using the DHH website but it's shite. Called a couple of places with no answer.

If you live in S LA, chances are that thing has some level of pollutants in it.

I live on one in Madisonville. It smells and tastes about how I expected..."Earthy". I have to add salt tablets to the filtration system out back. I've never tested the water though.

It is nice not paying a water bill, I'll say that.

I would imagine LSU might test it for you for a fee.

One of my friends off river road get all their water from a well. I know they have to put salt bags in it every so often. It's also loaded with iron and tastes like shite

Yes. You can order a test kit online. Ours tastes like shite though so we drink bottled water.

Try tossing a penny down it and making a wish. The answer will come...

Yeah exactly. That's why I want to get it tested. Prove to my wife that the bad water is why I keep accidentally stopping at strip clubs on the way home.
