We are hearing 5% increase in premiums. I guess all things considered it's not terrible.

I think ours was even smaller than that, but I haven't received the full quote yet to do an apples-to-apples comparison. On average, each employee went up 7.5%, but since we're small part of that increase is the age based increase because everyone is 1 year older.

Last year's plan was about a 4% increase when you compare the same age to itself.

My company switched from Blue Cross to Cigna. Premiums were becoming unattainable.

HR is saying 1% increase … I’ll believe it when I see it.

I’m nearly at $500 every two weeks. Open enrollment starts EOM. Kind of worried about how high they will go now.

You don't think insurance companies are going to pay for all this Covid BS, do you?

Because they are not. We are. And it will get a lot worse.

Why would I do that? I have BCBS thought my employer, who pays 100% of my premiums.

My wife pays ~$200 per pay period for her and our kids.

How much y’all paying now?

Mine went up $185 per month for 2022 wtf??

I don't want to look at it. What gets me is that they are barely paying for anything anymore. Daughter had a wellness check/physical, copay was 30, got a bill a couple weeks later for an additional 150 or so with the explanation that it wasn't covered by insurance because it was considered a routine visit.

I am baffled at what that means... It's not covered because it's routine. So if she breaks an arm, it would then be covered because it's not routine. Why even pull out the insurance card unless it's a catastrophic event? What's the damn point of the copay? I thought these companies negotiate certain rates with medical offices to get a break because they have so many people in the network.

My monthly premium is $800 right now. Found out last week it’s going up 25%. Went up 17% last year. Let’s go Brandon. Just got some $3.00 a gallon gas too today. Awesome.

Well you can prob chalk that up to a mistake by the healthcare provider. You do need to make sure they know you are using your “annual checkup visit” or you will get billed as routine. Either it wasn’t communicated well enough or mistake by the worker. Cause I have had a similar situation. And once they put it in the system and it gets sent to the insurance company, ain’t no backtracking.

My company is socializing corporate pay by a 3 tier system. An admin assistant pays a fraction of what I do for the EXACT SAME plan.

So, yes I get payed more but with equity they siphon all the other benefits for low wage earners who have no desire to better their careers.

Almost forgot the only thing not going up is the paycheck

If you are like me, your paycheck has gone down because of higher insurance costs and little to no bonuses/raises.
