Anyone find the wasps to be worse this year?

Around my house the wasps seem to be worse than I can remember in recent history. It seems like they are building nests evertywhere. Went out to cut the grass this morning and multiple nests on my child's swingset, my 5x10 trailer even in the cross beams of my fence. I can't remember them being this bad. Any one having this trouble?

Not sure. I'll have to ask my landscaping crew.

I passed by a Presbyterian church and there were some outside comparing their biker tattoos.

So yes.

I have seen a good number, but nothing that strikes me as exceptionally bad. I find it very satisfying to kill a whole nest of those bastards at once.

My 6 yr old asked yesterday if wasps do any good for anything. She said she knows bees make honey and pollinate flowers.

So.., any benefits?

I would say that your 6 yr old is very perceptive for her age...

Actually so far the numbers have been down. I usually have killed 4-5 nests by this time, but none so far. Now, black widow spider nests and those bitches are up in number for me.

So...down in red wasps...up in black widows. I guess I'm a racist.

They eat other insects (and even other wasps).
