It's your suspension. Not the wheels.

Having a bigger sidewall will help with ride quality when going from 22” to 20” with the same diameter tire.

did the 22's come as the factory wheels? if so stay with them otherwise 20's will give you alot better ride. also less chance of cracking the rim from potholes.

My truck came with factory 20s.....Ram 2500. Rode like absolute dogshit.

Sad part is that people with Super Duty's and HD GM's claimed "man, this truck rides great"

As another poster stated, suspension is a key factor....but tire sidewall height plays a huge part as well.

Had Thuren cook me up some new coil springs and their tuning for Fox shocks. Took a lot of the compression and weird rebound issues out of the truck, almost all of the stock suspension's porpoising on the elevated parts of Hwy. 90 were eilminated.

But, the truck still rode harsh.

I got a set of OEM 17s from a Ram Power Wagon that was a SEMA build and the difference it astounding.

Tire sidewall height will make a difference, but in your case, I don't know that 20s are going to do it for you.

22’s from factory I would keep them. sure sidewall isn’t that short looking at 22’s on the same trucks in our parking lot. Boss man has a 1500 with 22’s and the all terrain tires he just put on it look great. I have 20’s on my truck because dealer giving discount didn’t have any trucks like I wanted with 22’s.

Search Facebook marketplace, tire stores, dealership, etc. There’s always baws selling stock wheels when they buy their black and silver fake beadlock Fuels.

I stay factory because I’m not a piece of trash. Think 18” are the biggest I have. Not interested in setting my family back so I can keep up with a Mexican.
