Anyone ever had a UTI? (Update)

I'm headed to the doctor to get it checked out. But, for the last two days I've been having a subtle dull pain in my lower back and some discomfort in my lower abdomen. For the past couple weeks I have had to urinate pretty frequently. On a few occasions I have had to wake up and use the restroom at night. On occasions it has been a little painful to go but not like a horrible burning pain. I have a SO so I know it's not some type of STD. Wasn't that worried about it, but after doing some googling I am getting a bit nervous.

I'm hoping it is just a UTI and meds will knock it out. I'm under 30, so I'm hoping ole boy down there doesn't have any problems. I got some cheeren to make.

UTI is more common than you think. I would t worry about it too much OP

If you are a dude, your S/O is prob cheating on you and gave you an STI. Young men without prostate issues getting UTIS is very rare.

Yeah I have read that it is extremley rare for young men to get UTIs without there being other issues.

UTIs don't usually linger for a "couple of weeks". They normally get substantially worse within days until treated with antibiotics, then they get better very quickly. Is there blood in your urine?

No blood in the urine. Like a year ago I had blood in my siemen but it was a one time thing and never happened again. I never went to a doctor then because I wasn't in pain or anything.

Twice.
First time I went to an urgent care and the NP told me I had an STD and treated me for it...until they called me with the results that the tests were negative and that they didn't know what it was.
Second time I said frick it and it went to the urologist and he laughed and just said it was a UTI.
Never going to an urgent care ever again. frick them.
