Last night my dogs were outside and one of them got into it with a opossum. The one that was going after it is a mixed terrier and goes after rodents. It is in her blood. One time she got a rabbit. It took her about 45 mins, but she wasn't stopping until she got it.

Anyway, she is pretty fast so she was going at the opossum real fast. It was hiss and try to bite her, I couldn't shoot it because my dog was too close, threw some bricks at it and froze up. It looked like it might of gotten a bit in on my dog. A checked her to see and it doesn't seem like she has any signs of being bitten, but is there anything I should keep an eye on?

I googled and it says to take your dog to the vet, etc, etc but she doesn't seem to be acting any different or appears to be feeling sick.

Pretty sure that they don't carry rabies, if that is what you are worried about. Could get an infection though

No blood? Swelling and areas painful to the touch is about all to look for.

Possums aren't rodents, or as you wrote, "rotents".

How do you know the possum was Irish?

Are you able to feel every part of its body? Part the fur and go over it closely. Do that a few times a day for the next few days. It's easy to miss small bite wounds on a dog with thick fur. At most it might result in a small infection if anything at all.

Old Yeller didn’t show any signs at first either. We know how that story ends...

Possums normally play possum, and my dogs call their bluff. They get shaken to death before they know what's up. Teach your dog to kill better

My only opinion on this matter is that we need to drop the O from the name of this animal.

Should leave them alone. There one of nature's recycle bins. They are good to have around

Well he's already admitted to shooting dogs for kicks
He let's his dog chase a rabbit for 45 minutes to kill it
He's letting his poodle attack an animal in the yard while he tries to shoot it
He ends up throwing bricks in his yard like cletus

How about grab the dog and go inside. It's a possum, not the Japanese trying to invade his mobile home
