Heard of a guy that would show up drunk routinely while working at GM. Their union is so strong they couldn’t really do anything about it. So they called the cops and he was arrested for DUI while operating a forklift.

If they ever set up a checkpoint in my yard I'm fricked. Can't remember the last time I cut grass without drinking my arse off. I put an ice chest on the lawn mower

No. But I got. Hit by a beer can someone threw at me. From a passing truck. Dually with glass packs.
That happened to me but I just got grazed. I had 10 acres with about 400' frontage but only about 75' cleared for drive way. Dude speeds by and threw a beer can that hit me.
A few weeks later I was picking Black Berries, dude throws another beer can. I grabbed a large garbage bag picked up every beer can I could find from both sides of the road put them in my truck and with in minutes he passes the other way. I followed and drove up behind him in his parents driveway (found out later) and spread the cans in the front yard. They came overr later with the cans and threaten to call the police. I said find I'll file charges against your little shithole. They left with the bag oif cans.

Why did the cop come onto your property in the first place?

That actually happened in real life unscripted.

Had a boss for one summer who drove his tractor from his house, to his hardware store, on his tractor. He wasn't driving it from one place to the other to do some work. Just drove it like most would drive a car. He lived in the city limits too.

I thought the same thing when I was drink riding on my horse.
Reminded me of this.

"I was riding my horse down the side of 16," Williams explained as he was being issued a ticket for being drunk in public on the side of Highway 16.
A deputy responded to complaints about Williams riding his horse from the bar when she found him. She explained she could not arrest Williams for a DWI offense because he was on a horse, so she ticketed him.
"When you get a little too much to drink, why not ride a horse?" he told reporter Brett Buffington, "It's safer that way. The horse knows the way home."

Know of it going both ways due to the vehicle running or not.
A buddy of mine got a DUI in his driveway drinking while washing his car due to the car being running so he could listen to tunes while washing.
A guy my sister dated was shitfaced drunk one night driving home and had a flat. He pulled over onto the shoulder of the road, turned his truck off and then proceeded to pass out while changing the flat. Due to his truck being off and him not being in the vehicle the cops only arrested him for public intox.
ETA: Country music legend George Jones got a DUI on his riding mower back when he lived in Muscle Shoals, AL. He drove it from his house to the liquor store which was only a few blocks away.

This was back in the early 90's so I may be remembering wrong here but, he was underage and I think his lawyer agreed to a plea of public intox, his record being sealed, and then being expunged when he did turn 21.
We had a lawyer in town that everybody used for DUI's that got them while underage and the record being sealed and expunged at 21 was always part of the deal. The lawyer got this for everyone that used him. Not sure on the plea down to public intox, though.
