Wrong!
The Bonable Boat Launch has signs warning of venomous snakes and alligators.

There are bull sharks, mako sharks, and two confirmed sitings of a great white off Mandeville. I’ve heard the record catch was a hammerhead.

Carlton Dufreshore

He always seemed to be a slimy person on the take whether it was for the non profit to clean the lake or now running the biggest toll scam east of the Mississippi.

The Pontchartrain Causeway was a tourist destination when the first span was completed just to say you were on. Cars would stop to take photos both ways to show no land in sight. The longest bridge in the world

New Orleans itself was NOT a tourist destination to any extent back then. Chalmette Battleground was just a field and that was it. Cabildo was closed more than it was open. The other thing was to take a riverboat ride on a stern wheeler. That was about it for families.

Anyone on here ever cross it or even commute it daily?

I set out to do it in a boat, but they said the world was flat and that I would fall off the edge of the earth if I tried, so I turned back.

There’s nothing on the other side. You drive into a black hole. Only those who’ve done are allowed to know.

Ponch a train and either chalmette if bridge. Causeway lake poncharatrain.

Someone else can answer wreck questions. Been too long for me. It's a great question.

Same question for Chesapeake bay bridge tunnel.
