Anyone ever blackout their windows on backdoor during summer?

Or sidedoor or wherever you most frequently. Anytime after dark if I want to go outside, having to open the backdoor is like letting in a swarm of locusts straight from the bible. Mosquitos, June bugs, horse flies and plenty of other flying things I can't name.
I think if I cover the door glass with something to blackout the light then the bugs won't be hanging out so much around the door.

I bought car window tint and put it on the windows that take the brunt of the sun in the afternoon. And the back door. It isn't blacked out, but it helps.

Sorry I wanted the point of the thread to be about keeping nighttime bugs from gathering around the backdoor window glass because of being attracted to the indoor lights....sunlight isn't the problem here. I was sleepy when I made OP and didn't get my idea across very well.

Swap out the door for solid wood instead of glass is your best solution.
