There was a group of us that worked on the road and one guy would always call someone up and ask what they were cooking for dinner. As soon as they told him, the would say "Ok, I'll be over in a bit". Never asked if he could join, never pitched in on a meal.

It doesn't bother me. She doesn't talk that way to her parents or around other people, but they talk to me the way I talk to them.

Well, call me what you want. I offered to give her my old pair. There is nothing wrong with them other than the fact it isn't wireless. And it isn't uncommon for her to lose something. Or keep something in tact for every long.. so.

ugh

My grandfather had a huge farm that I had bought a section of and built a house on. When he passed I was to be the Executor of his will, and I already knew the will provisions one of which would be that I would get the farm at a certain price with the proceeds to be split among his daughters. But no one else in the family knew that . The day after my grandfather's funeral , one of my aunt's husbands moved 30 head of cattle onto the property without even discussing it with anyone. Just boom I'm taking this now.

Unless this "someone" is your wife or girlfriend, she has no business getting pissy over this.

My 12 year old niece is already wondering if she's getting a vehicle from her uncle for her 16th birthday

she is.

Long story short. Monday evening I ordered some new wireless headphones. Coincidentally, on Wednesday someone asked if I had wireless headphones and I told her that I actually just ordered some that would be coming in on Thursday, but that I did have some that were not wireless she was welcome to use. She didn't say anything about it after that.

This morning she texted me to ask if my headphones came in and I told her yes. Without even asking me, she said "Okay good. Will stop by after lunch to pick them up. Going to wedding and it is 2.5 hrs away and will be riding with family members so need to tune them out".

I told her that I never said she can borrow them and that I just got them in yesterday and haven't really had a chance to use them yet. She could still borrow the non wireless pair. She responded "Wow! I just want to use them for tonight. I will bring them back at some point this weekend". We went back and forth for a few minutes then I told her to go buy her own pair. She responded "you are such an a-hole. frick you". I just sent her a lol emoji because she was acting like a child.

Personally, I think it is inappropriate to ask someone to borrow something that they just got.

Anyone every asked you to borrow something at an inappropriate time or borrow something that you don't normally ask people to borrow?

That's where you fricked up.

The correct answer was "No, I don't have any wireless headphones."

It was my niece asking me and it was just the fact she asked me when I was about to get them delivered so my answer was sort of like "as a matter of fact..." She would eventually see them soon and call me out on it so I rather just tell her no anyway.

She is a good kid. She wouldn't really say that to anyone else. I did tell her I would let her borrow them if she could give me something for collateral so she would be less likely to misplace or break them and she didn't want to give me anything so I told her something like "awwwww. Well, that's the only thing that is stopping you from being able to use them. That sucks".. I didn't post the whole conversation, but she isn't just a little bitch who up and says shite like that.. Just to me.

Some people are weird about vehicles, like borrowing them. Trucks especially. Like ever needed to move furniture or something, some will toss you their keys and others won't let you scratch their bed.
