If you think NORAD won't have their Atlantic fleet primed and ready to go, then you are silly. No way these aircraft into Atlantic airspace, and US airspace.

NORAD tracks orbital objects and objects re-entering the atmosphere from a high altitude, anything that may be a missile. There is no civilian or military contiguous radar coverage of the entire U.S. border. There are a number of areas where a plane or cruise missile at low altitude could fly right in from the Atlantic or Pacific.

Hard to believe anyone with a brain thinks that a jet is just going to be able to take off from the middle east and not be detected right away or through international airspace and just fly happily into the US.

You mean the way MAL370 was tracked through international airspace so they new exactly where it was when it crashed.

Do you honestly think you could just fly a plane from somewhere in the ocean into the United States and smash it into something before anyone noticed?

Meh, I kind of have to think a jet leaving from Iraq, Libya, or Syria has a little more attention.
You may be right though.

Not in the slightest. I expect it to be just another work day.

I am. I'm not paranoid or hypervigilant.

I'm alert.

Other than Osama bin Laden's personal assistant El Hage living and working in Lafayette, organizing other ULL students, and collaborating with Lafayette business man Mohammad Salman Farooq Qureshi who funneled money to terrorist organizations, there is really nothing that would put Lafayette on a terrorist map.

And now my alert is substantiated.

Nice try, terrorists.

I am 3 miles north of the WTC site and live just across the river. yeah you could say we are all nervous

Why would Jihadists attack the exact same area? Makes no sense.

It wouldn't surprise me if something bad were to happen. Most likely won't be just like the first time - it might be worse.

University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Feb. 1, 2015. One of America's most celebrated events and the most watched broadcast worldwide annually. It would leave the biggest lasting impression if they would hit the Super Bowl.

I think that would affect people more than the WTC. Every one is watching the Super Bowl with friends, drinking beer and eating, having a good time watching the culmination of America's progress. Then boom, broadcast shuts off, people check phones and see the place has been destroyed. Would really upset people.
