I live in the Heights and we've had zero flooding on our street in the past four years. I don't want be stuck without power. Went through that to many times as a kid in LA. I like AC.

My neighborhood in Tomball isn't near any major bayous, my house sits at the end of a cul-de-sac that is the high point of the street. I'm stocking up on some basic food stuffs. I have a gas stove and two full bottles of propane. So we'll eat fine. If the power goes out the hassle will be no A/C. But it takes a lot to lose power where I am.

I just prefer sitting in my house verses stuck on 45 north behind every dumbfrick with a shitheap car that's broken down or run out of gas.

My biggest fear is missing Game of Thrones Sunday night.

Yea, the omni isn't that expensive for being a nice hotel, its not a bad place to spend 4-5 days if we have to. I just dont really wanna be here without AC and electricity. We're spoiled these days man.

Probably hosting a hurricane gathering at my apartment Saturday night.

A bunch of us stayed in BR for Gustav and did the same thing.

It's all fun and games until the next morning when it's hot AF and no electricity. We rolled out about noon the next day

I am supposed to drive to b.r. at some point and come back Sunday. Waiting to see if it still stalls west of here to make my decision.

No way you'll be able to drive back Sunday. I would have another plan...

Heights here. Taking my wife and daughter to NOLA this evening. This was the plan for 6 months or so for a fantasy draft, but I guess it will work out anyway. Not sure what would be our plan if we weren't leaving for that.

I am a little worried about some of the projections having this thing heading east like it's a homing missile following us.

I'm in Katy. We're staying. Got stocked up on ice/water yesterday. We've been out here 5 years and never flooded, i'm more worried about losing power.

I didnt' really consider leaving to be honest.

Somebody in Kingwood needs to step up so I can come visit. I will bring booze and we can talk football and I promise I will not say anything about corndogs or the last 6 games.
